Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector B.B Cream Review~

Being the first B.B cream to hit the UK market, it’s no surprise that everyone and their mother has reviewed this B.B. But now it’s my turn!
For those of you who don’t know, B.B stands for Blemish Balm which originated in Asia. Famous for it’s nourishing effects, it’s no wonder B.B creams are making it onto the western markets. Though sadly the western versions of B.B creams are more similar to tinted moisturizers than Asian B.B’s, rarely featuring any of the famous effects. (UV protection, wrinkle improvement, whitening etc)

Garnier’s B.B cream comes in two shades, “light” and “medium”, which is limited but this tends to be the case with all B.B’s. I tried the cream in “light” and although it looked okay when I applied a small amount, to get any coverage I had to apply more and my face ended up looking very orange. I have dry skin, and I applied it without any moisturizer underneath so it didn’t go on too smoothly, and was slightly cakey in places. It has a very light cover, if like me you have some imperfections you’d need to apply some concealer on those patches. It was very sheer, but not in a natural-looking dewy way. It has a slightly perfumed smell to it which didn’t really bother me.

Pros:
SPF 15. Not very high, but better than none.

Cons:
Expensive for a drugstore brand.
Didn’t live up to it’s promises. (imperfections looking blurred, lines softened)
My skin felt slightly irritated and itchy after using it.

Overall I feel this isn’t worth the £10 it costs (boots) and wouldn’t buy this. If I had normal or slightly oily skin I feel like this would work, however there are only two shades and the light is too orange for me. If you have dry skin I’d recommend using plenty of moisturizer before using this, and maybe even a dab with the B.B so it glides on smoother. If you’re very pale, stay away from this.

I’d rate this 2/5.
